Featured Town

The Original Washington

A mix of Southern charm and rugged natural surroundings combine to create one of the “coolest small towns in America,” according to Budget Travel. Washington offers extensive kayaking opportunities throughout Beaufort County, as well as places to take your SUP, and group SUP fitness classes and kayak excursions are offered regularly.

The country’s very first Estuarium is located on the historic waterfront, and downtown is full of great boutiques and restaurants. Dockage is also available at very affordable rates for long term and transient ships.

The historic district is full of both stunning renovated homes and fabulous old houses just waiting for their spectacular potential to be revealed! Newer homes are also available in downtown, both single-family and condo style properties are scattered throughout downtown, many with fantastic views of downtown Washington and the Pamlico River.
